The Giro d’Italia is coming to a close, and with just over a month until the Tour de France, June might seem like a month in between, but it is packed with exciting racing as the men prepare for the Tour and the women for both the Tour and Giro in July.

On the first day of the month, four stage races conclude, including the Giro d’Italia, as well as both the men’s and women’s Tour of Norway. Then follow two days without racing before the next group of stage races begins: the Tour of Slovenia (June 4th–8th), the Tour of Britain (June 5th–8th), and the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya (June 6th–8th).

The weekend also features a couple of one-day races before the Critérium du Dauphiné starts on Sunday (June 8th–15th) - a race where the two biggest Tour de France favorites, Pogačar and Vingegaard, are expected to battle each other for the first time since last year’s Tour!

Soon after, the Women’s Tour de Suisse begins (June 12th–15th), followed by the men’s Tour de Suisse (June 15th–22nd). That same week also includes the Belgium Tour (June 18th–22nd) and the Route d’Occitanie (June 18th–21st).

As these races unfold, the first edition of the Copenhagen Sprint Race also takes place, on June 21st for the women and June 22nd for the men. The final week of the month does not include many races, with only the Giro dell’Appennino on June 24th. However, it is a notable week on the calendar, as many national championships take place in major cycling nations such as Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Denmark, and more. Most of the national road races happen during the final weekend of June, just one week before the start of the Tour de France!
