The 2025 Cycling Season Is Almost Here!

As we’re nearly a week into 2025, the start of the cycling season is knocking on the door (and honestly, it’s about time—I’m really missing the racing :)

To help us all get ready, I’ve put together an overview of the World Tour races in the first half of 2025. I know this doesn’t cover all races, but including everything would turn into a cluttered mess. So, I’ve focused on just the World Tour events to keep it clear and readable.

January: Racing Down Under

Taking a closer look at the season start, the season kicks off in Australia with the Women’s Tour Down Under from January 17th to 19th.

If you’re in the Central European Time Zone like me, get ready to be either an early bird or a night owl—the racing starts at 1:40 AM! But don't worry, you can always catch up later with replays or highlights.

The men’s season starts a few days later with the Men’s Tour Down Under, running from January 21st to 26th over six stages. And again of you're in Europe you will have to get up in the middle of the night to watch it live.

These are the only World Tour races in January, but there’s more action if we look beyond the World Tour calendar. Some riders will also start their season in one of January's Spanish one-day races or the AlUla Tour
